Finance plays the most significant role in the organization, administration
and services of a library. A library should be assured of adequate finances,
otherwise it cannot discharge its obligation, and guarantee the continuity of
proper services to the users. The main objective of this study is to examine the
state of financing in university libraries in Kerala during the Plan periods.
Literature survey, questionaire, observation and interviews were adopted for
data collection in this study. This study is organised in nine chapters. A
selective bibliography on the subject is provided for further study and
investigation. There appendices and an alphabetical book index are also provided
for the effective use of this book.
