Islam makes it mandatory for its followers to seed knowledge and travel distant lands, in search of it. Holy Quran says that God has give us knowledge and skill to grab it and impart it to others also. Quranic commands are enthusiastic to provide the people with such knowledge so that he could be able to make distinction between good and evil and could emerge out successfully, shaping his life in a better way. Islam showers on its followers, varied ideas and knowledge in terms of education. It lays emphasis on enriching a child with education. for this purpose, Islam holds parents, teachers, rulers and the government equally liable to take the responsibility to provide useful and better education to the children. Islam talks about a specific budget and allocation of funds for education and also calls for a perfect assessment system. In Islam, for imparting education, the role of parents and teachers has been defined, with a belief that a child learn his first lesson from his mother only. It is deliberately expected that this work will certainly help the readers to know in detail about the education system under Islam.
