The rapid and exponential growth of information has made it necessary for librarians and information scientists to employ new techniques to cope with the massive proliferation of literature in all the subject fields. Dr. (Mrs.) Savita Mittal is presently working at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi as Assistant Librarian in the University Information Resources Centre and has been with this institution since 1999. Before joining here, she was regular faculty in the Department of Library and Information Science, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana. She did her Ph. D. in Library and Information Science in 1993. She has to her credit, numerous articles published in professional repute. She has been participating in national and international conferences organised in the country . Her areas include Library Automation, Digital Libraries and related fields. She is a Life Member of ILA and HLA.
