Dr. Anil Kumar Dhiman holds MA (Pol. Sci.), MSc (Botany), MLIS, BEd, MSc (Comp. Appl.), MBA (IT), MBA (HR) and PhD (Botany) & PhD (LIS). He is working as Information Scientist in Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar. He has 260 papers (218 in Library Science and 42 in Botany) and 32 books (23 in LIS and 09 in Botany) to his credit. He has presented 77 papers /research papers in national and international seminars/conferences including one in Kathmandu (Nepal) during February–March 2011 and another in Lahore (Pakistan) during November 2015. 22 candidates M.Phil. (LIS) and 08 candidates (01 in Botany and 07 in LIS) have been awarded Ph.D. under his supervision by now and many more are working for their Ph.D. He was awarded APSI Young Scientists Award & Gold Medal in 1999 by APSI, Muzaffarnagar (India); USSHLE-IJILIS-PBDBBS Award in Library & Information Science for the year 2003; Glory of India International Award in 2006 by Friendship Forum of India, Delhi; and “Best Librarian Award – 2016” by Library Professionals Association, New Delhi at PK Das Institute of Medical Sciences, Vaniakulum, Palakkad (Kerala) on 09 March2016.

He has also been chairperson/resource person in various seminars/conferences of national and international repute and has been the member of organizing committees. He is also associated with CSTT, MHRD, New Delhi as Library & Information Science Expert.
