In this book, an attempt has been made to emphasise the importance of information, in day- to-day life..It is the dire need of the present scholarly community and existing society. The various forms in which information occurs and the techniques and process development to encompass it, are new and variant. Likewise, the communication of this organised information via the latest modes, is another essential element. This work in an endeavour to bridge the increasing gap between the earlier and latest forms of information and to catchup with the new trends.
Dr. M. T. M. Khan (born 1952) is a native of district Bulandshahar ad was brought up in the academic atmosphere of Aligarh. Having obtained his B. Lib. Sc. and M. Lib.Sc. degrees from Aligarh Muslim University ,Aligarh, he earned his Ph. D. from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, amidst his academic process. He bagan his career as a Librarian, A. K. (Postgraduate) College, Shikohabad in 1974 and remained in the same capacity till 1984. Thereafter, he joined the Agra University, Agra (Now B.R. Ambedkar Universit, Agra) as a Lecturer in Charge of the Department of Library Science and Manuscriptology and served the University for nearly four years. Since 1988, Dr. Khan is holding the post of Reader and Head, Department of Library and Information Science, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. He has, also been discharging the duties of the Hony. University Librarian , since 1991. He has the cistinction of holding the prestigious post of Dean, Faculty of Arts of Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. Several scholars have been registered for research under his able guidance. He is a life member of I. L. A. and has a few articles to his credit.
