Diane Nahl is Professor of the Library and Information Science program in the Information and Computer Science Department at the University of Hawaii. She holds a PhD in Communication and Information Science from the University of Hawaii. Her research areas encompass affective computing, Information bahavior, information problem-solving, human information interaction, human system interaction, and information technology literacy. her research focuses on discovering how people approach, understand, value, react to, and interact with information systems. Her recent books include Strategic Research Approaches for Reference Librarians (2001, Kendall Hunt) and Road Rage and Aggressive Driving (2000, Prometheus Books). She is a member of several editorial boards and is a reviewer for the journal of the American Society for Information Technology (JASIST) and ASIST annual meetings.

Dania Bilal is Professor at the University of Tennessee, School of Information Sciences, College of Communication and Information. She Communication and Information Management at the Lebanese University in Beirut, and an MSLS and a PhD in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University. Her research focuses on children and young adults information seeking behavior, system design, human--computer interaction, cognitive and affective information seeking of children and adult users, and user- centered interface design, especially for young users.
